Biografia

Nel 1999 tre degli attuali quattro componenti del gruppo fondarono gli Zaburon. Il progetto nasce con la precisa finalità di produrre un genere musicale che avesse la spinta adrenalinica del thrash di matrice tedesca (Sodom, Kreator…) con l’ aggressività, la violenza, l’ imponenza del Death metal tipicamente americano(Suffocation, Morbid Angel, Sinister…).

I pezzi sono subito denotati da un elevato tasso tecnico, questa scelta, però, non è mai stata fatta a tavolino ma è stata una naturale evoluzione del gruppo nella ricerca di soluzioni sempre più estreme e personali.

La mente principale del progetto, nonché autore fondamentale di tutti i pezzi e unico chitarrista, è Luca Zanardi. Proveniente da un’ accademia musicale di stampo classico ha trovato modo di amalgamare quanto appreso tecnicamente e compositivamente per produrre brani diretti ed efficaci. La scelta di avere un solo chitarrista non ha pregiudicato in alcun modo il sound della band pesante ed aggressivo.

Grande evidenza ha la sezione ritmica che non è limitata a fornire un semplice supporto a voce e chitarra, ma grazie alla grande perizia tecnica di Christian Togni e alla pressoché totale estraneità al genere del bassista Antonello D’Aguanno è riuscita a reinterpretare cadenze ormai standardizzate senza cedere a compromessi.

Nella metà del 2000 entra a far parte della band il giovane Tony Lanza, il quale riesce immediatamente a carpire l’ anima dei brani e arricchirli del suo. Da quel momento la maturazione della band non si è più fermata. L’ esperienza di un precedente promo (2 songs,1 cover) e di molte esibizioni dal vivo  hanno permesso al gruppo di migliorare come musicisti ma cosa più importante di capire l’ ascoltatore e di conseguenza improntare i nuovi brani su una più afficace e immediata resa sonora.

Il gruppo ha trovato la sua formula magica traendo ispirazione dal pezzo più espressivo dell’ album: “The beginning”. I nuovi pezzi, infatti, spingono nella direzione di una fusione fra melodia, aggressività ed impatto offrendo all’ ascoltatore una potenza ragionata e raffinata. Un discorso a parte merita il pezzo “Zaburon”. Un brano volutamente lungo, complesso scelto per raccogliere tutto l’ universo Zaburon, da cui il nome, nella sua interezza e nella sua varietà per sommergere e travolgere l’ ascoltatore.

A settembre del 2004 purtroppo Tony Lanza, cantante del gruppo, decide di abbandonare la band. Fortunatamente nel giro di un mese gli Zaburon trovano un nuovo cantante,  Davide "SatraS" Ricciuti,  proveniente da svariati anni di attività nell' ambiente death metal melodico  finalmente ha la possibilità di esprimersi al meglio confrontandosi con un death metal molto più pesante ed aggressivo.

 

Biography

Zaburon was formed in 1999 by three of its present four members.

The musicians want to create a distinctive, innovative style which combine the adrenalitic rhythm of German groups such as Sodom, Kreator with the violence and the greatness of American death metal plays by Suffocation, Morbid Angel and Sinister.

The songs are characterized by high technique which in the natural evolution of the band towards extreme end personal solutions.

Luca Zanardi is the composer of all the songs and the only guitarist. He studied in a classical academy but soon started to compose hard and aggressive music which gives the band its own aggressive style not limited by the presence of a guitarist only.

The rhythmical section with Christian Togni and Antonello D’Aguanno doesn’t support the voice and the guitar, but gives a great contribute to the innovative interpretation of traditional melodies.

Tony Lanza joined the band in 2000 and immediately amalgamated with the other players and gave his personal interpretation of the music and songs. Ever since the band has continuously grown.

The band has issued a promo (2 songs, 1 cover) and has done a lot of live gigs which have allowed the musician to get in touch with the audience.

The band has found its magic in its most meaningful song “The Beginning” which is included in the album “Sic Bellum Incipit”. The new songs are, in fact, melodic and aggressive at the same time. Particular attention is to be given to “Zaburon”, a long song which contains the whole and varied Zaburon’s universe (since its name) which strikes and overwhelm the listener.

In September 2004 Tony Lanza Left the band,  one month after Zaburon find a new great singer, Davide "SatraS" Ricciuti and now he is part of the band.
